- Hi There, Welcome to our little piece of the Internet. We hope you’ll really enjoy your visit and come back often because we love to share our adventures! All the tips, tricks and how-tos, we have gathered all over the world will, eventually find their way here, along with photos (Goolygig is an amazing photographer). From being a National Geographic guide (Africa) to restoring antique chisels (Scotland), from pilot to barista, there’s lots to share. We purpose to get talking together, you and us. Goolygig and me, ex California producer, cordon bleu cook, housewife, farm girl, and now my job is to do the writing. Time will tell you who and what I am, you be the judge. We’re more blue jeans type people than suits, but having said that, we still clean up pretty good. Oh, and although I sometimes throw out American colloquialisms, a bit of UK slang and the occasional Afrikaans word, every effort will be made to keep posts as clear as possible. Our life is straight talk and no apologies; we‘re sharing what works for us and what didn’t.
